As of today, April 8, 2024, online services for the 3DS and Wii U have been shutdown at 4PM PDT, 5PM MDT, 6PM CDT, and 7PM EDT for all games that use online services. This also means you can no longer use SpotPass and Nintendo Badge Arcade after this date and time has passed. Connecting to WiFi Networks and Download Play and StreetPass and Pokemon Bank will still work after this date and time has passed. However, there is an alternative to online services on the 3DS and Wii U called Pretendo Network, which is an online service replacement for the 3DS and Wii U. It's still a work in progress so some things may not work as intended and we also don't know when SpotPass/Nintendo Badge Arcade and every 3DS and Wii U game will be finished on Pretendo Network. There's also a Miiverse replacement called Rverse, but when you switch to Pretendo Network servers via Nimbus, it overrides Rverse.

Pretendo Network's Website: https://pretendo.network

Create your Pretendo Network account: https://pretendo.network/account/register

Login to your existing Pretendo Network account: https://pretendo.network/account/login

Install Pretendo Network: https://pretendo.network/docs/install

Link your Pretendo Network ID:

Note: You don't need a Wii U to link your Pretendo Network ID to your 3DS as you have redirected the link NNID servers to link PNID servers via Nimbus. Same thing goes to the Wii U, but it's the opposite way around. (You don't need a Wii U to link your Pretendo Network ID to your 3DS as you have redirected the link NNID servers to link PNID servers via Aroma.) Edit: It seems that Nintendo made a typo and went for Standard Time instead of Daylight Time, sorry for the confusion. Edit: It looks like rverse doesn't work anymore :(
