Hey! This is a short review on what is ahead in the upcoming minecraft 1.5. So this newest update is going to be named The Redstone Update because of all the new redstone features, such as:

1. Redstone Comparator, the same as a repeater but with two inputs, you can toggle the inputs by right clicking.
2. Hopper And Dropper, as interesting as these items sound I cannot make sense of them and right now they’re a little confusing.
3. Trapped Chest, Personally I think this has to be one of the most pointless things with minecraft and I think I just about get the function, When 1 player is looking into the chest it emits a signal, the more people in the chest the higher the signal.
4. Weighted Pressure Plate, So far I’m taking a long shot guess here that all of these items fit together because I have no idea what a weighted pressure plate could assist in the current game, the title makes this pretty self explanatory the weight of either the player or items or amount of items gives off more or less redstone power?
5. Block Of Redstone, Finally! I don’t know if it was just me but this I have wanted this block for a while, now people will be able to use pistons and this block in their redstone circuits because this block constantly gives off redstone power!
6. Nether Quartz, These are going to be the first nether ore! you will mine it and smelt it in the furnace, not only that but nether quartz is an essential ingredient in the latest redstone blocks: Daylight Sensors and redstone comparator.
7. Block Of Quartz, I think this is minecrafts replacement of marble it is just a block like diamond, iron or gold but unlike diamond, iron or gold there are quartz slabs, stairs, pillars and chiseled quartz blocks.
8.  Daylight Sensor, This block is pretty obvious it detects either day or night by darkness so you can build good stuff with this like street lamps and with some mods it might help you farm, mine and get easy power. This might be a more child friendly version of mods that have released solar panels.
9. Nether Brick, The second ore of the nether was always there, you can now smelt down netherrack and receive this brick form of nether? either way with this its also another way to make nether bl
10. Improved Lava & Water, The lava has had an updated texture pack and the water has had a few changes so that if you use a bucket on rivers or lakes you wont ruin them!
11. Activator Rail, This will activate the new minecart TNT when it passes over.
12. TNT Minecart, The one of the four new minecart is this one which is set off by activator rail or when it is derailed!
13. Upgraded Minecarts, There are three new minecarts including: dispenser minecart, hopper minecart and a awesome new spawner minecart, for adventure maps I think these will be great new things to add in!
14. Mineshafts Upgrade, This isn’t much but now you will have to chase your goodies as items in mineshafts now spawn in minecarts and not the still chest!
